Town of Meggett’s Christmas Festival

The 13th Annual Christmas Festival was full of fun, arts & crafts and time with Santa!  We would like to thank the Lowcountry Leadership Charter School Excel Club for all your help with Santa and the Arts & Crafts.  We would also like to thank our Meggett Residents would helped decorate the Town Hall, get everything ready for and work our Bakery.  Lastly, thank you to all the yummy sweet donations!  They were delicious!

5K Walk/Run for Education

Lowcountry Leadership Charter School PTO’s 5K Walk/Run for Education was a great success!

Town of Meggett’s Christmas Tree Lighting

Our annual Christmas Tree Lighting on December 3rd proved to be the best of our celebrations this year.  The Christmas Tree Lighting presentation included blessing from local church leaders, local children who performed in a Christmas Pageant, the birth of Christ, Mayor Herrington delivered a wonderful message about the true meaning of Christmas and our humble beginnings and with the help of Ms. Matthew’s 3rd Grade Class, a 3-2-1 countdown ended with the Town’s beautiful tree lighting up the Donors Pavilion.   Mayor Herrington had symbolic heart shape burlap ornaments for everyone to hang this year as they remembered ones close to them.  IMG_4578

The breathtaking decoration by our decoration committee lead by Rebeccah Singleton provided a beautiful backdrop for family pictures.

If you were not able to join us this year, please be sure to mark your calendars, next year’s event will be on December 2nd, 2017.
